Summary: Originality of glagolitic script on the teritory of Croatia
is enabling the application of exact models for research of particularities
of croatian language. Corpus of glagolitic texts of croatian edition will
be created by scaning glagolitic texts. Forms of words of corpus will be
enable morphological analysis. Stohastic models will determine the rules
and transformations important for sentence in croatian language.
Morphological and syntactic analysis will determine grammar of old croatian
language by using conterporary linguistic and informatic methods.
Research goals: Glagolitic texts printed on Guttenbergs machines
will be analysed in the project. The procedure of printing demanded higher
level of organization and arrengement of text which resulted in better
reproduction of text. Printed text will be directly entered in computers by
the technique of scaning with minimum errors considering recognition of
text. Since the aim is description of grammar of croatian language,
selected texts are glagolitic texts of croatian edition. these texts are
most suitable in description of old croatian language. the basic aim of
investigation is description of the grammar of croatian language. By
processing folloving four themes, above mentioned aim will be accomplished.
these themes are: 1st theme: computer recognition of glagolitic characters
2nd theme: corpus of glagolitic texts on the computers 3rd theme:
morphological analysis 4th theme: syntactic analysis The results of the
project will be published in the book. Other information about the project.
