Summary: This project had a goal to understand the application and
integration of different specific knowledge and information technology in
management of complex, dynamic systems. Model for that complex systems were
chemical accidents. Specific fieldst included in project were: risk of
accidents; polution diffusion; consequences for environment, people and
property; responses of protection system. Following information
technologies were included in the project: databases, simulationmodels,
graphical presentation and interface, knowledge-based systems, monitornig
and measuring systems, computer communication and data security,
human-computer interface and responses at temporal preasuare. Proposed
model of DSS should obtain integration of human-computer information
processors at different level of intelligence: human, artificial and
classic computer level. Process APELL of United Nation Environmental
Protection is proposed as a way of implementation such of systems in the
Republic of Croatia.

protection in the Republic of Croatia, model of decision support system

bulding decision support systems for managemant of complex dynamic
systems; appropriate integration of information technologies; improvement
of decision making at extremly hard condition, dynamic and complex
controlled systems.
