Research goals: The Economic Intelligence & Security appears as a
key weapon for making business strategy.A lot of government agencies have
carried out the economic intelligence such as JETRO and MITI in
Japan,INTELCO in France,STATT in Sweden,National Economic Council in
USA.Corporations all over the World, pursued by increased competition and
threats for market survival, have found departments to deal with economic
intelligence & security. There are no signals in the croatian public
opinion toward establishing and implementation of such approach, although
in our history has still existed an exemple of the organized and
sistematic thinking, never explored, left in the former treasury, now archive
and cultural and historical monument of the City of Dubrovnik. The survival
strategy and economic expansion of a tiny, but highly intelligent
City-State are based on the network of its consular representatives in 80
countries and more than 300 merchant misions all over the World. The
purpose of this project is to stimulate creation of Economic Intelligence &
Security policy on the government and corporate level as basis for the
economic competitiveness and survival of the croatian economy. In the
future Croatia will become a part of Europen Union and a priority for
present policymakers is that scientific, technologic and economic
potentials adapt to european and global trends,by implementation of the
intelligence & security concept. Other information about the project.
