Summary: Eight researches and two young researchers have been working on this complex project (Researches of Antique Architecture on the Eastern Adriatic. It is a study of a part of artistic and cultural heritage on the Eastern Adriatic which comprises the research of Antique and Early Christian architecture and sculpture and other artistic forms, especially pottery. One the goals of the project is to study inscriptions and terminology from the field of arcaeology, art history and history. Results are scientifically interpreted and published which is the basis for any further work and synthesis. Entire Croatian Coast and its inland is included in the research. Due to inadequate number of researchers southern part has not yet been included. Cultural heritage has not been systematically studied, although it contains most attractive remnants of ancient culture. Emphasis is laid on Roman heritage because it has not been properly studied.

Research goals: The main goal of this complex project is to enable deeper understanding of ancient architecture, sculpture and other arts on Eastern Adriatic coast. Various themes included in the projects should be the basis for synthetic studies. The goal of the project is also to enable the preparing for the doctoral theses of the researchers without them and postgraduate theses for the younger researchers.
