relationships 1941 - 1943 and explanation of the emerging of separatist

1941. The character of relations between newly founded Independent State
of Croatia (NDH) and fascist Italy until signing the so called Rome
Treaties on May,18. 1941, between B. Mussolini and Dr. A. Pavelić. The
causes of creation of Rome Treaties are carefully examined with special
attention on pretensions from Italian national-irredentism and fascism on
eastern Adriatic coast, and repercussions of Rome Treaties as well as
Italian politics of weakening NDH with basic goal of it's final
subjugation to the interests of Italy (until the final break down of
fascism). There have been mentioned various documents about Italian
occupation and annexation of Croatian territory as well as given the
insight into the politics of fascist Italy until the fall of fascism.
Research goals: To highlight new approaches and reasses very complex
relations between Croatia and Italy on the eve of and after signing the
Rome Treaties. Other information about the project.
