    Summary: Both in Russian and in Croatian the prefix 'ne-' is added toadjectives of different formation and origin. That prefix 1)gives the opposite meaning to the adjective, causing theappearance of an antonymyc pair of adjectives; 2) denies thebasic meaning of quality without forming an antonymic pair; itsplace in such a pair takes another adjective; 3) forms anadjective with the meaning of 'intermediate member' between theantonyms. Both languages have all thre meanings in this type ofadjectives, but each one of them has its own distinctive featuresin their distribution.

From the devotional formulas ofintitulation developed a whole range of constructions. Suchablative absolute constructions replaced to some extent theconstructions with substantives typical classical Latin.
