    Summary: Osvaldo Ramous (1905-1981) a polygraph from Rijeka wasevaluated by the local critics, as well as by the criticsfrom bordering regions, exclusively as belonging to the literarycircle of the Italian community of Istria and the Kvarner.However, his poetic work integrates into the production of theItalian national poetry of the XX century. Ramous does not belongto the Istrian ethnocultural microuniverse as it is known sincethe end of World War II, because he had already passed thecultural growth process and had not held culture as an instrumentof ideology. Osvaldo Ramous should be read again but from theperspective of cultural policy and not policy of culture, inorder to evaluate his total production, particularly through hisrefusal of postwar realism.

    Summary: The cultural and literary haritege of Istria and Kvarner offers a great deal of authors to the today's scientists. These authors have created a number of works unknown to the Istrians. This essay deals with the work of a man who knew how to reconcile the sacerdotal activity with the activity of poet, writer of almanacs, philologist and pedagogue. He was the abbot Giovanni Moise who wrote an allegorical poem, "Abdalaah vision" and a series of almanacs. With his works he wanted to cultivate his people.

    Summary: In the peninsula of Istria there are two types of mutual, reciprocal cultural activities: the Croatian and the Italian (there is also the Slovenian which is not the subject of this essay). These two systems have their specific characteristics. The analyses of several Croatian and Italian poets show that the specifities of their poetry are reduced by the cohabitation. There are some differences, but the two components of the Istrian literature are not in opposition.
