Title: Some Aspects of the Temporal Organization of Speech Sounds

    Authors:
    Mikulić, Gordana (68834)

    Pages: from 135 to 150
    Number of references: 42
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: The review of research on speech production involving temporal domain shows that despite the apparently immense duration variation both in sounds and bigger units, certain patterns of conditioning factors may be found, relating to the various levels of the linguistic organization of a speech signal. The elements of the patterning result from the planning and execution of speech production.

    Title: Sounds Themselves

    Authors:
    Škarić, Ivo (47243)
    Journal: Govor

    Volume: 9
    Year: 1992
    Pages: from 1 to 30
    Number of references: 22
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: The distances between the sounds as mental entities are assessed. The results show that the constellation of sounds in the mental space is of extremely different interdistances. These distances only partly correspond with the known phonetic quantifications. Consistency and sufficient consonance of the data confirms the existence and measurableness of the sounds, owing to which they are exactly speech and not linguistic particles.
