Summary: The aim of this research is to present further insights
into the interrelations between Croatian and foreign cultures. In orther to
accomplish this goal, three encounters with Indian, two with Islamic and
one with Chinese world of culture, language, as well as legal procedures
and institutions are researched.

Research goals: So far only some aspects of the Croatian cultural
and historical connections with the East have been researched while many
more of them are hardly known or completely unknown. The goal of this
project is to study certain aspects of Croatian encounters with Indian,
Islamic and Chinese civilizations. It should therefore further contribute
to the more complex insights of our own historical as well as contemporary
component parts as reflected not only as regards East but Europe as well.
So far the work on this project resulted in several studies already
