Summary: The project is based on the field research and the data in literature about the subject. The result of this work should be a comparative historical grammar and the etymological vocabulary to be used as a contribution in the study of all the istrian idioms.

Research goals: The result of this work should be a comparative historical grammar and the etymological vocabulary to be used as a contribution in the study of all the istrian idioms. After the end of the project it should be easier to prove that the loan-words of prevenetian type in slavic idioms in Istria are istriot and preistriot and not friulan.
