Summary: Survey of the architecture of the villas on Dubrovnik
region fromtheir beginning mentioned in archivalia till their derivative
inthe 19th and 20th century. Origins of the specificarchitectonical type in
Dubrovnik are established and changes inspecific style periods are
analyzed. The most consideration wasgiven to architecture of the villas of
the 16th century, periodin which they attain highest intensity and range.
The chaptersabout architecture, garden design and outfit of the
villassetting are elaborated. The typological classification isestablish
and the role of the architecure of the villas incontext of designing
Dubrovnik's landscape is determined.

Summary: Researches indicated that Džon Rastić villa in Rijeka
dubrovačkais stratified rustic unity. The villa was build on the place of
former real property of benedictine monastery in Rožat. Findsfrom earliest
stratum, dated from end of the 15th century, areanalyzed. In the first half
of the 16th century complex becomerestructured, his appropriate to
husbandry was cancel andresidence function was established. Last phase
correspond withthe restoration which was made after earthquake dated in the
year1678 and which demonstrate exact peculiarity of renovation.

Summary: Consideration of Francesco della Volpaia supplement of
therenovation of the villa on island Šipan which once belong to
thearchbishop of Dubrovnik. By encouragement of Ludoviko Beccadelliin the
year 1557 the building was enlarged with uniquely elementswhich belong to
the circle of Dubrovnik architecture of thevillas. Francesco della Voplaia
was associate to the great familyconstituted from architects, engineers and
designers of differentgadgets which all collaborate with greatest artists
of their time(Sangallo, Michelangelo, Leonardo) and which worked for
famousfamilies in Florence (Medici, Rucellai, Salviati).

Summary: Elements of the renaissance classicism are present in
thearchitecture of Dubrovnik palaces from middle of the 16thcentury. In
Dubrovnik worked italian master-builders (architects)Antun from Padova and
Jeronim Catani from Ancona; their workindicate knowledge of classical rules
in facade composition, aswell as, application of classical orders.
Morphological analysisand analysis of proportional references as well as
method ofmoduls provide that Stjepanović Skočibuha palace was
partiallybrought out toward the project with considerably more
suggestiveclassicist characteristic.

Summary: Depend on archeological researches which provide evidence
thatRoman Epidaurus was located in place of today's Cavtat and takeninto
consideration facts from earlier historiography, Dubrovnikliterature in the
15th century, French travel writers andnovelists in the 16th century, I
arrive to a conclusion thatconstruction of Cavtat in period of Renaissance
represent revivalof the antique city. We don't have to take term revival
literary,already in context for in that period characteristical aim tobuild
on antique ruins and repeating of urban scheme. Thatscheme demonstrate
unique example of the city construction whileurban structure of Cavtat is
creation made from small complex ofvillas.

Summary: After the realization of the research work (construction
andrestoration probe made in villa's interior) all the finds areanalyzed
and conclusions about history of construction of thevilla was made.
Characteristics of the High Renaissance style, inother words Mannerism,
appears in the conception of the space, aswell as, in architectonical
decoration. We can date theconstruction around the year 1600. There are
some minor baroqueinterventions and the restoration from beginning of the
20thcentury is more considerably. Proposals for restoration andpresentation
of villa Stay-Kaboga respect both mentioned phase.
