Summary: Starting from the necessity of a more creative approach to
teaching in general, and teaching of music in particular, this paper refers
to some possibilities of more creative approach to music dictation in the
teaching of solfeggio in the primary school of music. In addition to
singing, listening is a basic activity in solfeggio teaching, an above all,
it is the basis and the starting point of all aspects and activities of
music dictation. The music dictation is connected to all elements of
solfeggio and, therefore, it should be carried out on a basis of its
correlation with these elements. Some of them have been noted in this
paper: audible distinction of the whole note, half note, major and minor
keys of the performed composition, intervals and chords, stringed
instrument in the chamber orchestras, two-four measures and the sounds of
wind instruments. The correlation should be established between the
teaching of music dictation and solfeggio, and teaching of instruments.

Summary: Two-part dictation begins to be applied in teaching
solfeggio by the end of elementary music education. In comparison to one
part-part, two-part dictation requires significantly better previous
knowledge and the procedure of realizing it is more complex. In music
teaching practice approaches to two-part dictation are different, as well
as methodogical procedures in realizing it. This work deals with some
approaches to homophonic first, and then to polyphonic two-part dictation.
