Summary: Generating function method (GFM) for exact treatment of
spin dependent level density in very large fermion and boson
configuration spaces is developed, applied to specific nuclei and model
cases, and on this basis a new algebraic formula for spin-dependent level
density is proposed. Numerical calculations of energy spectra,
electromagnetic properties and transfer reactions are performed in the
IBFFM model for odd-odd nuclei, and in a new model with one- and
two-quasiparticle pairs coupled to interacting bosons for high-spin states
in even-even nuclei; these theoretical results were compared with
experimental data obtained in leading experimental laboratories to provide
theoretical understanding of experimental features or to serve as
guidelines in performing experiments. Microscopic foundation of dynamical
symmetries in odd-odd nuclei was shown within IBFFM. A new approach to
Coulomb excitation of nuclear slab and to collective nuclear dynamics is
developed in the framework of relativistic mean field theory. Quantum
chaos is investigated for boson and boson-fermion systems and for shell
model systems involving isospin breaking, by calculating fluctuation
measures. Chaotic features of classical dynamics underlying SU(3)
dynamical symmetry were found. Numerical simulations for variety of
multi-source neuromagnetic data were performed and detailed V1 and V2
retinotopy demonstrated. Nonlinear classical dynamics of one-dimensional
models arising from robotics and ship theory are being investigated by
computer simulations with a particular emphasize to a possible onset of
quasiperiodicity and chaos.

Research goals: 1)Fundamental theoretical investigations of nuclear
structure andnuclear level densities,in collaboration with experimental
physicists performing experiments at the worlds leading laboratories in
nuclear structure physics. Development of teoretical models and computer
codes:interacting boson-fermion-fermion model, extended interacting boson
model with inclusion of one- and two- broken quasiparticle pairs and
Gaussian polynomial generating function combinatorial method. Fundamental
investigations of quantum chaos associated with isospin symmetry and
boson/boson-fermion dynamical symmetries. 2) Fundamental investigations of
relativistic Coulomb push of a nuclear slab and of nuclear dynamics in the
framework of relativistic time-dependent mean-field theory. 3)
Investigations aimed at identification and characterization of multiple
visual areas through the use of neuromagnetic measurements and validation
of modeling assumptions via numericalsimulations. 4)Development of optimal
usage of available distributed computer system in Croatia. 5) Computer
simulation in clinical gastroenterology. 6)Investigations of classical
dynamics (regular, quasiperiodic, chaotic) of one-dimensional robot- and
ship- models. The results of investigations achieved so far have been
publishedin 64 scientific publications; 34 of these are publications
ininternational scientific journals which are represented inCurrent
Contents. In these publications there are foreigncoauthors from 17
countries ( USA. Germany, Belgium, Ukrainia,The Netherlands, Switzerland,
