Summary: From the measured values for the molar conductivity of NaBr
electrolyte of different concentrations in 70,80 90 and 95 mass per cent
tert-butanol-water mixture were obtained the limiting molar conductivity
(Lo) and association constant (KA) using Fuoss-Hsia and Lee-Wheaton
equations. The constants obtained at different temperatures (15-35C) were
used in determining the standard thermodynamic quantities for the
ion-association-reaction Na(+) and Br(-). Comparison was made of obtained
values with the analogous data for HBr electrolyte from literature.
Keywords: Molar conductivity,sodium bromide,ion association,tert-butanol-water mixtures,thermodynamic quantities.

Summary: A potentiometric method was used to determine the stability
constants (K'n) for Cd-chloride(n) complexes (n=1-4) at different ionic
strengths in 10,30 and 50 mass per cent acetone-water mixture. From these
values were obtained the thermodynamic stability constants (Kn) for n=1,2
and 3 in 10 mass per cent acetone, and in other mixtures also for n=4.
Constants Kn obtained at different temperatures (15-35C) were used in
determining the standard thermodynamic quantities for the forming reactions
of the cited complexes. The obtained values were compared with the
analogous literature data for 2-propanol-water mixtures.
Keywords: Potentiometry,cadmium-chloride complexes,stability constants,acetone-water mixtures,thermodynamic quantities.

Summary: The standard EMF of the cell was determined from the
measured EMF values of the cell for different CdCl2 concentrations in 10,30
and 50 mass per cent acetone-water mixture and using literature data for
stability constants of Cd-chloride complexes. These values at different
temperatures (20-40C) enabled to establish the standard thermodynamic
quantities for the cell reaction, for CdCl2 transfer from water into
investigated mixed solvents, and also for CdCl2 activity coefficients.
Thermodynamic quantities thus obtained were compared with the values from
literature for 2-propanol-water mixtures, and CdCl2 transfer values also
with the values of HBr transfer into acetone-water and 2-propanol-water
mixtures.
Keywords: Electromotive force,cadmium chloride,acetone-water mixtures,thermodynamic quantities,activity coefficients.
