Summary: The research purpose is the thermodynamical analysis of heat and mass transfer and the hydrodynamical analysis of real fluid flow, in the system of the special heat exchangers. The research has been done on some special types of heat exchangers which are used in rational energy consumption systems as well as in systems of waste heat recovery and systems of renewable energy sources application. The research covers gas-liquid heat exchangers, gas-gas as well as types exchangers where the phase change of the working fluid occures. Some results and conclusions obtained by analysis are confirmed by simulation of real conditions on the testing line in the laboratory as well as measuring on the prototypes.

Research goals: The aim of the suggested research is the thermodynamical analysis of heat and mass transfer as well as hydrodynamical analysis of flow and pressure drop in special heat exchangers suitable for usage in waste heat recovery systems and in nonconventional energy sources. Special accent will be given to the usefulness of these heat exchangers as well as to the basic elements of the technoeconomical data justification of building in. The expected scientific contribution in the analysis of complex influential facts of heat exchangers for special purposes in the systems of nonconventional energy source or systems for waste heat recovery with the aim of the specifing the chosen and adviced types of heat exchangers. Energy sources are diminishing and the usage of these heat exchangers have great future.
