Summary: The level of automatization of the flexible production
systems and the introduction of new technologies in all segments of
the production process depend on the level of the logistics
development. From the economical view intensive production requires
great effectiveness and feasibility of the production systems. The
role of logistics in this respect is huge. The new technological,
production and economic conditions, especially of integration, and
computer supported activities within a firm are in incentive and a good
reason for us to study and master the new (high) technologies and acquire
new knowledge on logistics. The research objects are certain segments of
the material and information flow, e.g. modules of the production
systems in the metal-processing industry. The main aims of the project
are software solution of certain segments and modules as well as some
optimization methods. Linguistical and legal background of logistics were
also taken into consideration.
Keywords: AUTOMATIZATION OF FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT, LOGISTICS, INFORMATION SYSTEM OF LOGISTICALLY INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING
Research goals: The main aim of the project is to master high
technologies for their application in design and introduction of computer
controlled integrated systems. The research objects are based on the
production systems logistics with a variable production program. In order
to realize thus planned aims they have been defined as long-term
(providing research continuity) and as short-term. Important long-term
aims are: forming of structures and functions in firms provided with the
logistics concept, promotion of high technologies, analysis of the
automated technical logistics subsystems (from the standpoint of design,
application and effects), analysis of design software, control and
management of logistically integrated mproduction, linguistical background
of logistics. Short-term aims are. forming of the bases for solving the
actual problems occuring in some segments of the logistical chain,
analysis of the organization structure model aiming at the introduction
and application of logistics, study of an industrial firm having
logistically integrated production together with the development of the
production support systems, study of automated material flow systems (of
transport and storage in particular), study of the specifically used terms
in logistics, experimental testing of the implementation and optimization
methods as well as the software supported segments modules of the applied
information and communication system. Other information about the project.
