Summary: Three-dimensional photoplastic analysis is employed in
modelling of forming processes such as upsetting, piercing, axtrusion,
drawing, bending and bulging. The polycarbonate is applied as a model
material. Influence of the contact friction to the state of strains in
permanent deformed model was studied.
Keywords: photoplasticity, optical methods of strain analysis
Research goals: a) Determination of the state of strains in
two/dimensional models during sheet forming operations (with special
attempt to hzdrostatic expanding). b) The experiments of the forming with
flat tools or with tools for die forming, should produce free surface crack,
internal crack or die contact surface crack. It will make possible to
determine the state of strains near the crack. c) It could bee contribution
to better understanding of the model material behaviour in the critical
yones of forming.
