Summary: The objective of this research project is to analyze
technical, economy and environmental factors which then has been used for
initiation a hydrogen energy system for Adriatic coast. The solar/wind
hydrogen energy system which consists of the following subsystems: -
hydrogen production, - hydrogen storage and delivery, and -
hydrogen end-use, and its components have been analyzed in detail.
Keywords: hydrogen, fuel cell, solar energy, fuel, electrolysis, wind energy
Research goals: The main goal of this study is to establish a
justification of initiation hydrogen energy system into the existing energy
system at Adriatic coast. Although hydrogen energy system based on
renewable energy sources (solar and wind) has many advantages when compared
with existing energy system mainly based on utilization of fossil fuels, it
will be very difficult to establish it without major governmental and
international actions. There are many obstacles for establishing such an
energy system, such as economics, lack of infrastructure and lack of public
acceptance. The model of hydrogen energy system based on renewable energy
sources has been built. Furthermore, suggested research included detail
analyses of hydrogen storage system and initiation of modern product line
for its manufacturing.
