Summary: Four original automatic methods of measuring in the
geodetic astronomy have been developed and their accuracy tested. There
were 5 works published abroad (2 USA, 2 in intern. jour. in Beglium, 1 in
Germany and 7 works in Croatia). It has been researched how to find
optimal methods of measur. the deformation movements of construction
objects, with a special emphasis on the temperature influence onto the
value of the vertical movement. There was one dissertation made and 8 works
published in this respect. The literature has been studied about the
influence of the atmosphere onto the geodetic measurements and the
compensator errors have been tested. There were 5 works published there
about. The accuracy of the measruing with geode. instruments has been
tested depending on the position of the eyepiece, then the accuracy of
digital measuring devices for measurements on plans, as well as the
accuracy of the cadastral plans. One work has been published in Germany
and 9 works in Croatia. The procedure of municipal information system has
been worked out to be used for the purposes of municipal infrastru -cture.
Two works have been published. There were also two works published about
the erected calibration base for examining and calibration of
electrooptical distance meters in Croatia which will enable the achievement
of one mutual measure for measuring large distances up to 6000m. Two
geodetic methods have been automated and found its application in
mechanical engineering, in precise determination of elevation differences
and in control of long axis with Kern E2 and HP41CXC. Their accuracy has
been tested, but the work has never been prepared for printing. Alltogether
1 disertation 6 works have been published in journals abroad and 49 in
homeland journals and proc.

Research goals: The goal of the project is to automate and
modernize (in accordance with the current level of technology in the world)
a series of geodetic methods applied in the geodetic praxis, as well as in
construction operations and machinery. In addition, the accuracy and
practicality of new automated methods, developed in our country, as well as
abroad, is going to be tested. The accuracy and practical side of these
measurement will be analysed, so it could be estimated for which purposes
these methods can be applied. It is expected that our geodetic praxis will
thus become highly modernized. In the work on this narrower scientific
discipline, the younger scientists are going to be educated as well.
The goal of the research made on optical telescopes nad compensators is to
achieve detailed knowledge about the complex factors influencing the
accuracy of measurements, as well as to find out objective tests for the
evaluation of the optical systems quality. It is expected that on the basis
of these researches it will be possible to achieve higher accuracy of
measurements and more appropriate selection of equipment to be used for
corresponding purposes. The goal of the part of the project belonging
to the scientific discipline of engineering geodesy is to research the
periodical movements of construction objects with a special emphasis on the
temperature influences. Apart from studying the behaviour of construction
objects during their exploitation, the contribution is expected also in the
field of renovating and improving the geodetic methods and procedures in
the phase of projecting and erecting buildings. On this job belonging to a
narrower scientific disipline a dissertation is going to be made. Other information about the project.
