Summary: The interactions with the surroundings and architecture are processes in which people tend to indentify themselves with the environment and also to achieve the balance with their ideas of their needs. The attempts of compensation of anxiety and conflict are among them. The pre-christian and animistic cultures environmental processes are in an ongoing relationship with personae who they are dealing with or who they are protecting against. Therefore, those actions reflect and apply themselves upon the architecture and the environment. The Chinese Feng-Shui shapes the environment according to a series of sophisticated rules onnected with astrology, specific life situations and needs. Children express their identifying with the environment and their own spiritual state on it through playing with dolls and in their drawings (eg.houses without doors and windows, the cardboard houses opening and closing, etc.) Warious states of conflicts seek for compensations in the environment as well as project themselves on the architecture and thus influence the choice of forms. In cases of very strong need for self-representation there are often imposing and clumsy results, which create a need for repression in the people who are exposed to them. Individual situations and disturbances influence the social state and vice versa. On the social-psychological level of the problem there is a break in the behaviour of society in which aims and behaviour of a community are not being matched, and directed towards an efficient action of creating the architecture. Due to different aims which are at the moment confusingly carried out, some disturbances in bringing decisions, pollution of the environment with the mass unquality of architecture, disturbances in the law regulation of building trade, as well as the attempts of compensation of the romantic variant of the newly composed architecture have developed. In the last phase the problems of protection from pollution by building construction, as the dominant phenomenon in the sociopathology of building, have been treated.

Keywords: Architecture, mental Health, symbolical identification with the environment, pollution by building construction

Research goals: The goal is to develop a system of questions for observing the influence of differently structured building phenomenons and space relations,on the experience and behaviour of people. And also the influence of behaviour and cultural heritage on the processes of designing the environment. Many factors, which are not caused by the physical environment, influence the behaviourand mental health. But the physical environment represents thepermanent frame for the individual and the social life. The relations of the individual experience and experience of groups towards spatial phenomenons and architecture will be examined in the continuation of the work. Special interest will be given to the attempts and tends of solving conflicts and anxieties by means of architecture and to project them into the environment. For instance - attempts of compensating conflicts bymeans of illustrations, visual media and illustrative architecture. The research is also oriented to observing symbolical identification with the environment and architecture.
