Summary: A study of development of formations reactions for some
minerals in the isothermal sintering process will provide a basis for
defining the effect of the structure on the properties of sintered
magnesium oxide products obtained, so that it is expected that
thermodynamic and mathematical processing of experimental results will make
it possible to build a mathematical model of the magnesium oxide sintering
process.
Research goals: Examination of the relation material
properties-material structure and determination of parameters for their
optimum use. Examination of the processes and mechanisms in order to
discover parameters relating structural characteristics and material
properties, i.e. parameters providing for maximum use of the existing
systems, by application of mathematical modelling. A study of development
of formation reactions for some minerals is expected to provide a basis for
defining the effect of the structure on the properties of sintered
magnesium oxide products obtained, and thermodynamic and mathematical
processing of experimental results is expected to make it possible to build
a mathematical model of the magnesium oxide sintering process.
