Summary: Examination of the features of the hyperkinetic circulation
of the hyperkinetic heart syndrome using accepted and evaluated procedures
in nuclear medicine. Comparison of the results obtained in the submitted
study to those of the previous study (hyperkinetic circulation in
hyperthyreoidism). A selected group of female patients ranging in age from
20 to 40 years will be examined. The following parameters will be examined:
left ventricular global ejection fraction, duration of sistola, peak
ejection rate, duration of diastola, peak filling rate, stroke volume and
cardiac output, blood volume, effective renal plasma flow, plasma renin
activity, peripheral venous blood aldosteron level. Systolic and diastolic
blood pressure, heart rate and double product will be determined, too. The
parameters mentioned will be determined at rest and after the
cycloergometric load of 50 to 75 W during 10 minutes.
Research goals: Determination of the features of the hyperkinetic
heart syndrome using the affirmed methods in nuclear medicine, examination
of the functional response of the cardiovascular system and renal function
by this clinical entity at rest and after controled exercise load. To
emphasize the resemblance and the differences (if there are some) between
the hyperkinetic heart syndrome and the hyperkinetic circulation by
hyperthyreoidism (both classified as disturbances characterized by so
called kinetic circulation) that came out from the comparison between the
results obtained in the submitted study and those of the previous study
(florid hyperthyreoidism). There was no relevant similar data found in the
available literature, i.e. there was no investigation concerning the above
mentioned features by a selected group of patients with hyperkinetic heart
syndrome that was numerous enough for relevant conclusions. Other information about the project.
