Summary: The project presents indepedent investigations of possibilities aming to achieve more efficient control of dominant swine diseases. The systematical exemination of bacterial sensitivity to antibiotics has been included in the control as well as the programmed application of efficacious drugs in critical production levels for those diseases not having yet available vaccination. Some diseases can be controlled by vaccination and its rhytmical application pattern has to be incorporated in the present production technology making out the optimum of their profilactic properties and of their comparative advantages as well. Besides, the antibody seroconversion investigations carried out by new laboratory technics, enable the application of more effective immunoprophylactic programmes offering detailed understanding of natural occuring infections in herds. The research results obtained from the mentioned fields are systematically implanted in production technology enabling more effective disease control being of bacterial etiology. The qualitative progress is going to manifest istelf in possibilities of suplement modelling the program and its specific adaptation according to the characteristics of every particular herd and its technological production conditions.

Keywords: swine, bacterial infections, diagnostical procedure, monitoring, vaccination, usage of antibiotics

Research goals: The basic research aim is discovering more effective control programme of swine bacterial disease that could be applied to the big herds as well as to the smaller farming. Majority of swine bredings, regardless of capacities, have been developing on "self" technologies and conceptions incorporating gradually later on the health care programme. The health care programms were uttery contracting: from incontrolled use of antibiotics due the prevalent immunoprophylaxis being applied, of both in various combinations, having different levels of scientific support both without uniform standardizing health monitoring. The intensity of scientific support with the application of the current knowlege in practice also differed from one herd to the other resolting in complete dissimilarity of swine health conditions on the territory of the state. At the same time there was no possibility for real monitoring or programming the health of swines. The purpose of research is to coordinate the objective scientific methods of monitoring the programme efficacy and the objective requirements endevouring the greter uniformity of these programs for particular disease. The expected research results are going to enhance the health programmes to the level enabling free transition of animals between breedings for genetic and breed reasons. The particular accent of the programme is the human health care realized through determined and time limited use of permissible and efficient medicale drugs of known elimination time and to comply with required EEZ norms in order to pave the way for undisturbed circulation of food of animal origin.
