Summary: Ecological relationship between soil properties (habitats)
and floristic compostion of meadow associations and lower units of facies
is established by phytocoenological and pedlogical methods of studioes.
Fertilizer tests are set in different meadow associations according to
uniform methodology, and changes in floristic composition, structure and
quality of hay yield are established.

Research goals: Aims of the studies: - to establish ecological
relationship between floristic composition of meadow associations and
facies and pedological properties in a pedological soil profile in
relation to forest associations and arable surfaces, - to establish
fertilization effect in relation to floristic composition and soil
propeties in meadow ecosystem, - to work out in detail a method of
pedological mepping basedon knowledge of plant cover floristic system and
its ecological indexes, - to establish the differences in soil
erossion between ecosystem of meadows, forests and arable surfaces of the
researched area, - to establish a disturbance of te present ecological
balance in some associations due to land reclamtion, cultural operations
and other activities based on knowledge of vigour and plant associations
development and chamges in soil properties, - to plan meadow
fertilization based on knowledge of floristic composition and soil
properties, - to study conditions of soil and plant cover for a better
leguminosae growth (clover) in order to swop nitrogenons fertilization
with natural nitrogen fixation from air by means of symbiotic bacteria on
leguminosae. Expected results of the studies: On the basis of the
former studies we have established strong up to complete correlations
between floristic composition of meadow associations and some soil
properties and fertilization effect. There will be established in
rolling topography some differences in thickness of geological substratum
of aeolian diluvial clay between ecosystem of forests, meadows and arable
land as a result of anthropogenic errosion, - to establish differences
in soil properties between ecosystem.
