Summary: Present demographic explosion on the world demand maximum
activity of the recourses which are essential for human continuation.
Animal's products in this frame are notable part of human's being. Putting
the present animal's resources on the sufficient level demand to develop
adequate (corresponding) technologies based on livestocks improvement.
Recent degree of animal science is not sufficiently for the development
such production which can be able to conduct present and future demographic
growth. Therefore, is necessary to enter in such scientific spheres as
genetics engineering and preservation acquired genetic potential. One of
the best way to enter in to this spheres is embryo transfer use because it
is the first step for use genetic engineering procedures and for forming
bank of genes ( on the base to use cryo biologic methods). The proposed
project's activity is based on the own results from embryo transfer and
cryo biology gotten from YU USA project BIOTECNICAL METHODS INTENSIFICATION
OF SHEEP PRODUCTION - EMBRIOTRANSFER IN THE SHEEP.
Research goals: The objective of this research is intention to
create the base to involve high technologies into livestock's improvement
and protection endanger races of domestic animals by use and develop
embryo transfer. The results are continuity research activity based on the
scientific cooperation with USDA Institute for animal reproduction
Beltsville Maryland which was in frame YU-US scientific project
"BIOTECNICAL METHODS INTENSIFICATION OF SHEEP PRODUCTION - EMBRIOTRANSFER
IN THE SHEEP. In the frame of project activity is successful
transplantation and freezing sheep's embryos (First, in Republic Croatia
and former Yugoslavia). As part of project activity is research in
endocrinology from this, we got scientific argument about seasonal
anestria duration in Republic Croatia. Other information about the project.
