Summary: Taking the cultural-historical theory of development as a
theoretical-metodological frame we offer some points for creating a
communication model in pre-school education. Considering the thesis of
social interaction as a formative factor in the development of a series of
mental functions, we are trying to find out the basic characteristic of
the most productive forms of communication/interaction for development
within the context of institutional pre-school education. Discussing some
aspects of communication influence on the child development (language
development area, development of epistemic curiosity and self-concept) we
explore some specific patterns of interaction with adult and peers. The
nature of the adult's assistance as adequante if it is a balanced system
of support in a cooperative, joint action which presuposes the adult's
ability to "sense" the zone in which interaction moves the development
forward.
Keywords: communication, interaction, zone of proximal development, cognitive conflict, semiotic mediation, exploratory behavior, higher mental functions, curiosity, self-evaluation,
Research goals: Goals: To investigate (to higlight) the basic
characteristics of themost productive forms of communication/interaction
within theinstitutional pre-school education as the most systematized
formof social mediation in the child's individual development
(theinteraction with adult-teacher and with peers). Expected results: By
studyng the specific patterns of social interaction which thechild is
involved in, we are trying to give some basic points forestablishing a
model of communication in the institutionalpre-school education. These
results can be used for the development of the metodologyof learning in
the dialoguae. Other information about the project.
