Summary: Relations between demographic, social and economic features
andjuveniles' and adults' criminality has been analysed on the
allmunicipalities in Croatia for the period of 20 years. Analyseshas been
done by several methods: factor analysis, taxonomicanalysis, canonical
correlation analysis, cannonical covarianceanalysis, regresion analysis and
trend analysis. Significant butdifferent connections between some factors
of social and economicdevelopment and some forms of juveniles' and adults'
criminalbehaviour are expected. The results could be used purposefullyfor
crime prognosis and crime prevention in Croatia. Trends andforms of crime
in Croatia between 1991 and 1993. has beenanalysed in consideration of
authority decisions in criminalprocedure.

Research goals: 1. The real critique of amount of crime, it's trends
dynamics, forms and nature in whole Croatia and in some parts of Croatia
during 15 or 20 years with special stress on violence, offences against
property, traffic offences and juvenile delinquency. 2. Finding out the
nature, dynamic and direction of connection between amount of crime and
it's trends in general as well as amount and trends of some particular
forms of crime and social and economic changes, demographic features and
infrastructure of certain areas. 3. Finding out forms of adults' criminal
behaviour as well as forms of juvenile delinquency in different parts of
country, with special stress on violence, offences against property,
traffic offences and juvenile delinquency. 4. Finding out the dependence of
criminal behaviour forms on social and demographic features of offenders in
different parts of country. 5. Identification of the most significant
connections between some features of social and economic development and
features of crime in different parts of country, including measurement of
these connections in consideration of their intensity, continuity and
dynamics. 6. Finding out the purpose of decisions of authorities in
criminal procedure in the context of criminal policy in different parts of
country with special stress on legal selection in criminal procedure and on
judgement's criteria for violence, offences against property, traffic
offences and juvenile delinquency.
