Summary: The author uses the inductive method in order to formulate
the definition of gesture as a factor of non-verbal communication. The main
body of 260 Russian gestures is classified in two stages, so that the
second classification results in 9 subgroups and each one of them is
described by different appropriate criteria. For the study of phraseology
a special attention is to be paid to the part of the book dealing with
links between gestures and phraseology.

Summary: In his poem "Ribanje i ribarsko prigovaranje" ("Fishing
andFishermen's Conversation", 1556) the Croatian poet PetarHektorović
(1487-1572) describes his 3-day voyage in the Adriaticsea, the joys of
fishing, his conversation with two fishermen andother details of the
sailing, as well as his own meditations. Theauthor uses a phraseology that
harmonizes with the subject andthe spirit of the poem: it is not
complicated and - if we excludethe religious phrases in the author's
meditations - it is mostlyneutral or colloquial, deprived of elevated
stylistic effects.This phraseology belongs to the common fund of the
Croatianlanguage, so in its greater part it has remained in use until
nowand is completely understandable to a medium reader.

Summary: There are several types of phraseological variants:
phonetic,morphologic, formative, syntactic, quantitative and lexical.
Thepaper deals with one type of lexical variants in which thecomponents

Summary: In Croatian as well as in Russian the prefix ne- is added
to adjectives belonging to different types of word-building and origin.
This prefix 1) can give the meaning of contrariety, which leads to forming
an antonymic pair of adjectives; 2) it can deny the basic meaning of the
adjective, but the antonymic pair is formed by another adjective, having in
its structure a different stem; 3) it can form an adjective with the
meaning of a "medium member" between two antonyms. These principal
meanings of the prefix ne- are represented in both languages, but
different features in their distribution are to be found.

Summary: In Šoljan's novel a wide phraseology is contained. Biblisms
are motivated by the multimeaning of the novel's title. Multimeanings are
