Summary: "The 17th and 18th century sculpture and painting in continental Croatia" is a long term researching project dealing with an important segment of Croatian artistic heritage. Systematic study, stylistic identification and valorisation of Baroque sculpture and painting, which represent the major part of the church inventory on the territory of continental Croatia, is an important contribution to better knowledge of artistic tendencies and cultural history in the Baroque period. The important part in realisation of this project is thorough inspection of monasteries, churches and chapels and,in adition to this, work on archive documentation. On the basis of collected material publications are made on works of artists and their artistic workshops, texts in exhibitioncatalogues, and art topography publications.

Research goals: The goal of this long term project is to accomplish the complete review of Baroque sculpture and sacral easel painting in continental Croatia with accent on the bond with European Baroque art and artistic workshops. The final goal is the book "The Baroque sculpture in continental Croatia".
