Summary: Follow-up study was carried out in order to examine
differencesbetween primary school students under two systems of
evaluationof academic achievement. Firts graders with the
descriptiveevaluation had lower level of achievemnt, were less test
anxiousand more intrinsically motivated than numerically evaluatedstudents.
In the eighth grades these two groups differedsignificantly only in two
variables: descriptive evaluated groupbecame more extrinsically motivated
and had higher extrinsiclocus of control.
