Summary: Applaying the traditional transportation planning model (trip generation, trip distribution, choise modal split, traffic assignment) we obtain the matrix: generation-attraction of trips between the various zones of the area under investigation. The research study will make it possible to ensure, while organising the city according to the economical principles, that the intensity of traffic flows of all types should be in accordance with available traffic areas by changing the use of certain facilities and areas, and thus the traffic flows will take place in conditions of a confortable flow.

Research goals: The main objectives are to find optimal spatial-technical solutions for all types of transportation of passengers and goods, i.e. functional types of system solutions for the transportations supply, particulary in the busiest central segment and subsequently in its surroundings. Expected results: - Bringing into accordance the transpotration demand with the limited spatial resources necessary for the development of the transportation supply; - Bringing into accordance the oscillating transportation demand with the transpotration supply which is tecno-technologically justifiable and economically efficient; - Bringing into accordance the durability of the completed infrastructure in the center with the changes in the development of its narrow wide surroundings; - bringing into accordance the requirements of modern capacities and technology of the transportation supply with the constraints resulting from environmental protection and protection of cultural heritage within the considered area. The realisation of the proposed objectives will make it possible to test the proposed metodological procedures and the possibility of their application to other areas by employing the developed software.
